Usually young actresses are reluctant to take up a mother`s role in films. Padmapriya was different, she started her career in film industry by essaying a homemaker`s role in Blessy`s Mammootty starrer Kaazcha.

She is again taking up a mother`s role in her second comeback film to Mollywood. Padmapriya is doing a pivotal role in one of the film in an anthology movie titled Crossroads`. In this movie helmed by actor/director Madhupal titled Oru Rathriyude Kooli` her role is that of a woman on the streets who is also a mother and is forced to live in the streets.

In this movie apart from Padmapriya there are a child artist and another actress Chandini Geetha doing important roles.
